About WebTech Kenya
WebTech Kenya is a reference site about the mechanics of online gambling accounts in Kenya: payments, identity checks, security, data and tax. It is written for adults and promotes no operator.
Scope
The subject here is narrow. A gambling account is a piece of financial technology: money enters through a mobile wallet, an identity is verified, data is stored, a payout is processed, tax is deducted. Each of those steps is governed by a rule that can be looked up. The site looks them up and writes them down in plain Kenyan English.
The guides index groups the pages by the part of the account they deal with.
Out of scope, deliberately
- No reviews, rankings, ratings or comparisons of operators.
- No bonuses, promotional codes or offers.
- No betting tips, predictions or staking systems.
- No links to gambling companies. Where a guide refers to the regulator's list, domains appear as plain text.
- No instructions for getting around age checks, identity checks, limits or self-exclusion.
Under the Gambling Control Act, 2025 (s.87) and the Advertising Regulations, 2026, promoting gambling is advertising that requires the regulator's approval. This site holds no such approval and does not seek to promote anything.
Status of the project
The site launched on 4 October 2026. It is new. The legal entity that publishes it has not yet been published on the site, there is no named reviewer, and the site earns no revenue. Those facts will be updated here when they change.
Texts are drafted with AI tools and checked against sources, as the editorial policy describes. Nothing on the site is based on personal play, testing of operators or reader reports, and no page claims otherwise.
How to judge a page
- Look for the section number
A legal statement should carry a reference such as
s.72(3). - Open the sources list
Each guide ends with the documents and official pages it relied on and the date they were read.
- Compare the date with today
Fees, limits and tax rates move. If the page is old, the official source wins.
Errors can be reported as set out on the corrections page. The contact page states which channels exist.
