Editorial policy
Every legal or numerical statement on this site must be traceable to a primary source that was read on a stated date. Texts are prepared with AI tools and pass automated checks before they go live.
Rule one: a source for every fact
A sentence that states a rule, a rate, a deadline or a limit needs a primary source. Accepted sources are:
- the Gambling Control Act, 2025 and the regulations made under it, as published by the Gambling Regulatory Authority;
- statutes as consolidated on Kenya Law;
- official pages of the Gambling Regulatory Authority, the Central Bank of Kenya, the Kenya Revenue Authority, the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner and the Communications Authority of Kenya;
- official pages of mobile network operators, for their own codes, limits and procedures.
News sites, forums, review sites, affiliate sites and encyclopaedias written by volunteers are not used as sources. If a figure cannot be confirmed on an official page on the day of writing, the text explains the mechanism without the figure and names the page where the figure is published.
How texts are prepared and reviewed
Texts on WebTech Kenya are prepared by the editorial team with AI tools and are checked automatically against primary sources before publication.
In practice this means:
- Collection
The relevant sections of the Act, the regulations and official pages are gathered and read for the topic.
- Drafting
A draft is written with AI tools from those materials only. Section and regulation numbers are kept next to the statements they support.
- Automated checks
Before publication, each page is tested by software for missing sources, forbidden promotional wording, missing responsible gambling notices, broken internal links and overlap with other published texts.
- Dating
Each guide shows the date it was last updated, and each source shows the date it was read.
There is no named human reviewer at present, and no lawyer, tax adviser or security professional signs off the pages. Automated checks catch missing references and banned wording; they do not prove that an interpretation of the law is right. Treat the guides as a map to the sources, and read the source when the matter is important to you.
What is never published
- Rankings, ratings, reviews or endorsements of gambling operators.
- Bonuses, promotional codes, or wording that urges anyone to gamble.
- Stories of winners, testimonials, or any suggestion that gambling is a way to earn, invest or solve money problems.
- Material that appeals to anyone under 18.
- Methods for avoiding verification, age checks, limits or self-exclusion, or for installing apps from unofficial sources.
- Claims about experience this site does not have: no tested operators, no surveyed readers, no team credentials.
Operators and the register
Operators are mentioned only as facts from the regulator's list of licensed gaming companies for the 2025/26 trading period, with the date that list was read. Their domains are shown as plain text. The list changes, and the live register is the authority.
Updates and errors
Pages are re-dated when their content changes. Mistakes are handled under the corrections policy. Funding and independence are covered on the page about how the site makes money.
